Summers Beauty-Here it is the middle of August already, It is time for the kids to go back to school and my flowers are in their last phase of blooming. It has been a busy time around my house and art studio. A couple of weeks ago my husband Ray had surgery on his leg and hip from his previous injury last year. His hip failed and pretty much his leg wasn’t attached to the hip.
The surgery took 7 hours to do a full hip replacement and a bone graft where the rod is attached to the knee. He is recovering very well and we head back to Salt Lake tomorrow for his check-up. Of course Jet, the dog is chomping at the bit till Ray can drive again and take him out for his desert runs. So here are some pictures of what is happening around my yard.
Looks like I transported the bench and plants from Karen’s Place. LOL
Hope you enjoy these pictures and of course if you want to use them in your art work I would be thrilled. Happy Summer!
Plants, and gardens, can be wonderfully calming. My back yard is my stress reliever.
You are so right. Today I cut the lawn and watered and that just lifted my spirits.
Is the one picture show Ray’s old hip? Chuckle
Ha Ha Miss Debbie
Your flowers are beautiful. I hope Ray continues to improve. It’s amazing what doctors can do.🙂
Thanks Elaine, Ray is doing much better and his doctor was so proud of his repair work yesterday. LOL
Karen, how is your husband? Are you doing ok? got my shed done. started sewing again this week. not sure how it is going to work. still do not have heat or air in it yet. sure had more stuff than i thought.
Hi Sharon, My husband had his hip surgery and is on the mend. Congrats on your she shed. I invested in a portable air conditioner for mine and love it. See you soon.
I’m so happy to see this blog! We’ve been thinking about you. I hope Ray recovers quickly.
Take care.
Janet
hi Janet, I finished my “Birds of Idaho” quilt. Could you send me a pic of the back of yours and how you hung it?
Your flowers are lovely, Karen! I’m so glad that Ray is on the mend. Hope you to see you soon at BOM class.
