Lately I have been working on new ideas for buttons. Making buttons from some of my fabric painting projects seemed like a good place to start. Meantime one of quilters from the Gooding quilt guild asked if I could make a two inch flower button for her rope basket. I painted a set of flowers and of course she bought those and then I painted a different set and Pat bought them.

Here is the pictures of the original art work that I painted on fabric. Not sure what I will use these great flower appliques for but looking forward to creating a project that features them. Do you have an idea or two how to use them in a creative way?

My grandson wanted some Hello Kitty embelishments for his decorated clay hearts so I created them.

l made these funky bird buttons. Really like them and can see them used on an apron, birdhouse wall hanging, or a cool kids wall-hanging.

Lastly, you remember those “She who sews – so shall she reap” quilting panels? I have sold four of them on my Etsy sites. This week I assembled two more tops and they are ready to be quilted.

Hope you enjoyed what is happening in the art studio this week. Check out my other new items on my Etsy site – Itsattheemporium & itsattheemporium2.
Enjoy the heat!
