Well it is only 5 degrees out this morning and a good time to stay inside.  Since my creative clock is always ticking what is an art person to do…..I am working on a new art quilt that is like a self portrait and I am to the borders and the fine tuning and for the life of me am having a creative block.  It’s time to put it aside and work on a new design. Okay I am all over the house looking for new inspiration.  Went to my file cabinet filled with hints and will move onto some great pictures I took last fall of weathered tree stumps and wood grains  that I have  stored on the computer.  Then I remember that I had wanted to do an old tree with the wood grain as a main component.  With my mind racing with the possibilities of the grains of the wood and maybe some moss intertwining the design well can’t wait to get started. I find that sometimes the pre-idea process is just as rewarding as the actual finished piece.  Finding all the pieces for the  next art quilt is like going on a treasure hunt and then pulling all the items out of my backpack as I need them so to speak.  It looks like this might be the year for a lot designs with great wood in them. Time to get started and hope you are all having a creative day too!!!!!
