Glorious Summertime-Mother nature at work. The other day Ray and I stopped at a street lined with wild sunflower plants. As I got out of the truck I spied this cool monarch butterfly feeding on a sunflower bloom. I was so excited when this shot appeared on my phone screen. There is nothing like being out in nature.
A while ago, on one of my bad hair days I was outside in the front trying to calm down and low and behold a swarm of honey bees were on my lilac bushes. Notice the yellow pollen collecting under his wings.
They were so busy gorging themselves they didn’t even move when I took this pictures with my tablet.
Along that same critter line, I decided to make some caterpillar buttons for my Etsy site. These have been resin coated and I am in love with them. Didn’t they come out cool? I can just see them on a childs wall hanging.
A week ago I had a big blessing when Manny, Julies son, came to visit. He is turning 16 in September. When I went to pick him up from Magic Reservoir, where my Nephew is remodeling the family cabin, wasn’t sure what we would be doing together. As soon as he visited the art studio here, at the house he announced ” Can we do some art stuff?” We are currently working on air-dry clay hearts that he is decorating with roses. Will keep you posted on our results!
Thanks for subscribing to my site. Will try to post more often now that things have settled at our house and we have a real routine now. Send me some pictures of critters in your yard……
