Fall-My favorite time of the year! During one of my many trips to Twin Falls this week I had alot of fun taking pictures of falls glorious colors. Right now fall colors are just starting to appear. This first picture is my one and only pumpkin in the garden this year. Even though the pumpkin plant sent out a 12 foot runner, it seems a bunny rabbit ate all the blooms as they appeared. I was so thrilled that he missed one and found this beautiful pumpkin by accident the morning of my picture taking drive.
This beautiful bunch of grass. I noticed them when I was sitting in the drive- thru at the bank. It is a wonderful soft wheat color and I know I will be using it in a future art project.
Nature’s natural ageing process is soo cool. I love to paint nature in my art quilts. The first thing I realized is that colors surrounded by green leaves seemed to balance out the picture perfectly. I take alot of pictures of leaves because they are a great study of shapes and textures. How they layer on top of each other facinates me too. Even when they age they have their own unique patina.
Aren’t these glorious? Just like fairies dancing in the wind. I was amazed at how delicate those fibers were. The very large leaves seem to be protecting the little fairy flowers.
It isn’t fall with out ageing leaves and cat tails. I can’t wait for the next wave of natures colors.
On another note you will notice some changes to the my artbykaren2.com website. After seven years it was time to revamp my site. One of the new additions is the ability to use your credit card to purchase kits and things. You will also be able to register for upcoming classes. With the addition of my digital prints on fabric I needed to have a spot for those too. My art journey has changed alot since this site was created, including the addition of “Karen’s Place”. Now I can make that a part of my website. I am very excited to have a platform to share my creative journey and hopefully inspire you to do more. On the other hand when you share your art projects with me it inspires me to create more. It is a fantastic way of life!
