Good Morning and Happy Easter!- I was thinking this morning what are my memories of Easter past?  Mostly they are  filled with Easter dresses, hats, eggs and of course chocolate.  When my kids were younger it was kites.  They would get them in their Easter baskets.  Thinking back now and realizing how many Easter Basket I had actually made through the years.  Five kids times at least 15 years or so well that is an amazing amount.  But that isn’t what I want to write about today.  I love this time of the year when all the new growth starts popping out of about anything that reproduces.  It fascinates me how plants are mostly dead looking and then all of a sudden little buds show and get ready to put on their own little Easter show.  I took a drive around my neighborhood and here are some of the cool ones I was able to catch.  I took Jet the dog with me and at one of my stops he was escaping out of the front seat and he accidentally honked the horn with his butt.  So funny.  With what is going on around us at the moment it is amazing how much new growth we are all experiencing. From just plain slowing down from our hectic lifestyle or for others a new perspective for going forward. One thing I realize is the need for other to gather with each other is very strong in my circle of friends.  We miss each other.  Sometimes just hearing each others voice brings great joy no matter what the subject matter. I can’t wait to open the art studio!   today Ray and I are going  south.  My Easter present is a long day of photography. I am hoping for more pictures of mother nature in all her glory. Last but not least I wanted to share with you a couple of pictures that I took this week across our river.  The first river picture I love the way the shadows of the tree are literally painted on to the river bank and then into the water.  The second shot was so beautiful with the midnight blue sky.  So Happy Easter to all of my art quilting buddies!  Karen
