Well the holidays are in full swing and we decorated the shop a couple of weeks ago and  it came out wonderful.  Twinkle lights are hanging everywhere and it is like being in fairyland.  I thought you would like to see a few of the creations developing in the art studio.  Last year I made a some wooden trees.  When they came up from the basement this year they just looked too plain, so today this tree became a Christmas announcement.    It still needs it’s top but as you can see it isn’t plain anymore. I liked it so well I might dress up the rest of them.   Ray loves this painted wooden tray  because it reminds him of growing up in the Wood River valley.  He had a truck like this when he was young. It was a practice piece before painting my wooden Christmas post cards.  We created  a section called the “Kids Clothing Closet”.  Here is a picture of  some upcycled  clothing that are hanging in there.  Aren’t they darling?  I made a few size 6 skirts  while I was working out the right size for my granddaughter Lily who lives in Seattle. She turns 4 in January. On another note this time of the year is when I collect magazines for inspiration and here is one that I found  at our local market.  Lots of articles for displaying different collections, great info for changing up merchandise in the gift shop.  Lastly we are getting ready to expand the classroom into part of the laundromat.  I am so excited.  Friday Ray and some friends will start building the wall to block off the laundromat and then the window will be removed to knock out the wall.  Will send pictures as we make progress….Karen
